Our Reverse engineering service is the most efficient way to obtain CAD files from physical objects

American Engineering Group (AEG) uses a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to scan existing physical parts and assemblies and create accurate CAD data, enabling project initiation using CAD models to develop product external features.

Reverse engineering is also particularly useful when a customer wants to refine or add to existing products when no CAD data is available. The CMM is uses the actual part to import the geometry into our ProE CAD software, where it can be manipulated and used as a reference for creating additional features, parts, and assemblies.

American Engineering Group (AEG) offers Failure analysis services. The engineering problem solving approaches can be applied to determine failure analysis of plastic components used in engineering applications. However, it is important to define failure mode and failure mechanism. It is also important to establish verification and correlation between field and lab samples using physical and chemical techniques. The primary rate determining mechanism of component failure can be predicted using the accelerated functional tests. Accelerated tests provide a quantitative determination of the service life of elastomer components in a particular application. The failure mode analysis effort conducted on polymer materials provides a good materials database for computer-aided design engineers who in turn can use the information to effectively model part reliability, thus reducing the need for complex and costly prototype testing. Failure mode analysis as an engineering tool is still in the infancy stage of development. Although some successes have been reported, more application research is needed.
